Azure Cloud Migration for Canadian Travel Portal

Challenge
The Customer’s legacy travel portal was running on a traditional on-premises infrastructure that was not able to scale effectively to meet the increasing demands of its growing user base. The customer wanted to migrate its existing portal to the cloud to achieve better scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency, while also ensuring minimal disruption to its existing operations.
Solution
The customer engaged Softellar’s team of experts to help with the cloud migration project. We designed an Azure Cloud solution, and introduced new RESTful API using .NET technology. We also used Angular Single Page Application (SPA) for the frontend deployed on Azure CDN, which ensured a seamless user experience and high performance for the users. We utilized various Azure services such as Azure Web App, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage to ensure the portal is highly scalable, reliable, and secure.
Result & Business Value
The cloud migration project was successfully completed within the scheduled timeframe, resulting in a highly scalable and reliable travel portal that is capable of handling the customer’s growing user base. The Customer was able to reduce its infrastructure costs significantly, while also benefiting from improved security, reliability, and scalability. The migration also enabled the Customer to offer new and enhanced services to its clients, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
